Getting to Tampere is not so difficult, you just get on the bus in front of the terminal entrance doors to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. You now have 200km to cover and it will take you about two and a half hours. On the way you will see some Finnish people and some of the Finnish countryside. You have time to get used to this new world.....

The 'Pont Rouge', opened in 1611, is built on the most stable and narrowest point of the Drac at Pont de Claix and replaces the ferry that cost dearly in taxes for farmers bringing their products to market in Grenoble. In 1873, a new bridge, much less steep, was built along side, which would allow, a few years later, the passage of the electric tramway to Vif. From 1885, after two years of work, the first underground water drains supply water to the city of Grenoble who's mayor at the time was Edouard Rey........

You may have seen my photos taken during our holiday in Tuscany in 2007, or maybe not. Anyway I wanted to bring the albums up to date with a better presentation and slide shows. After 8 years they have probably become more like history but never mind!
