Cela fait cinq satellites différents! Comment faire? J'ai essayé trois solutions différentes.
1. Ma première solution était une antenne de 100cm motorisée. Ce système vous permet de recevoir tous les satellites disponibles avec un seul LNB. Mais il y avait deux inconvénients pour moi:
2. Une autre solution consiste à utiliser plusieurs LNB's avec une parabole de 85 cm. Au lieu de déplacer l'antenne, c'est la tête de réception qui change de position. Vous pouvez recevoir Astra 19° E, Hotbird 13° E et AB3 à 5° W tous à la fois. A l'époque une parabole Visionic Trisat était utilisée mais elle n'est plus commercialisée apparemment. Vous aurez besoin d'une plaque spéciale faite de tôle d'aluminium ou en acier pour fixer les LNBs nécessaires pour les satellites que vous souhaitez capturer. Si vous souhaitez fabriquer cette plaque, les détails sont ici, Vous devrez ajuster les positions des LNBs pour d'autres diamètres de parabole. Pour capter Astra 28° E, la parabole de 100cm a été maintenue parce qu'ici, dans le sud de la France, le signal n'est pas très fort!
Chaque LNB est relié à son propre démodulateur. Pour deux ou trois satellites cette méthode peut être intéressante car ces boîtiers ne sont pas chers (neuf ou d'occasion). Néanmoins, il va falloir mettre un commutateur de péritel avant l'entrée vidéo de la télévision.
3. La troisième solution, celle que j'utilise actuellement, est de commuter le signal à l'entrée du démodulateur. Si un satellite est utilisée deux fois, par exemple pour alimenter la carte HD sur l'ordinateur et un second démodulateur, la LNB aura besoin d'une double sortie.
La commutation entre les différents LNB's se fait par un boitier Diseqc 1, qui fournira une sortie pour quatre entrées. La commutation se fait automatiquement par les récepteurs ou la carte de l'ordinateur. La programmation est assez simple. Vous aurez besoin de deux boîtiers Diseqc1, un pour chaque récepteur ou de carte pc. Pour la position 9° E (si vous en avez besoin), vous devrez supprimer la position Hotbird 13°E car 9° est trop près de 13° pour avoir les deux. Il faut choisir. Vous aurez besoin de programmer votre démodulateur avec la fréquence et le SR (de M6 suisse) et puis positionner le LNB jusqu'à ce que la réception se fasse. A noter que M6 HD est disponible ici gratuitement. Dans mon cas, l'un des boîtiers diseqc1 alimente un Visionic Slim 3 FTA démodulateur numérique et l'autre, une carte Skystar HD dans mon ordinateur HP avec Windows Seven 64 bits et DVBViewerPro. Les résultats sont maintenant très bons (Fluide sans crash, je croise mes doigts!)

- Recevoir les émissions gratuites de la télévision française, y compris ceux de la TNT si possible (télévision numérique).
- Capter les émissions internationales gratuites en français ou en anglais (d'autres langues seraient un plus).
- Recevoir les émissions gratuites de la télévision anglaise, y compris ceux de Freeview (télévision numérique).
- Recevoir les chaînes HDTV gratuites.
- Certaines émissions nationales de la télévision française sont disponibles gratuitement sur Atlantic Bird 3 (AB3). France Ô, 2, 3, 5, Arte, ainsi que LCP (la chaîne parlementaire française), TMC, TV8 Mont Blanc et KTO, la chaîne de télévision catholique française. Vous aurez peut être besoin de programmer votre récepteur manuellement. Les fréquences TP et SR peuvent être trouvées ICI. Pour la totalité de la TNT française, vous aurez besoin d'un décodeur TNTSAT sur Astra 19° E (ou un décodeur FRANSAT sur Atlantic Bird 3, 5° W) et la carte VIACCESS correspondante fournie (environ 150 euros, mais un paiement unique en théorie)!
- Il y a un bon nombre de chaînes gratuites en français et en anglais sur Astra 19° et Hotbird 13°, y compris quelques émissions TNT manquantes. Il y a aussi plusieurs chaines de journaux permanentes en anglais ou en français.
- Les chaînes anglaises TNT (Freeview) sont sur Astra 28,2°, plus vous êtes au sud, plus grand sera le diamètre de la parabole nécessaire. Il y a aussi des chaînes gratuites en HD sur ce satellite. (BBC HD, ITV HD et HD LUXE). Vous aurez besoin d'un récepteur spécial MPEG4 pour les décoder. Des cartes pour pc sont également disponibles. - M6 est disponible dans
sa version suisse (seule la publicité est différente) sur Eurobird 9A à 9° E et non Eutelsat W3A à 7° E comme auparavant.

- l'optimisation des signaux pour chaque satellite différent signifie qu'on n'obtient jamais des signaux maximaux. Ceci handicape Astra 28,2° et AB3 pour lesquels les signaux ne sont pas énormes, au moins ici près de Grenoble.
- grâce aux systèmes d'alimentation et de commande partagés par deux fils, l'antenne se perdait souvent. Ensuite, une réinitialisation était nécessaire.

What are my
requirements?
So this is the list of satellites I need to pick up: Atlantic bird 3, Astra 19°, Astra 28.2°, Hotbird 13°, and Eurobird 9A.
That's five different satellites! What can we do? There are three possible solutions that I have tried.
1. My first solution was a 100cm motorised dish. With this system you can receive every available satellite with only one LNB. But there were two drawbacks for me:
2. Another solution is using multiple LNB's and a 85 cm dish. Instead of moving the dish, it's the receiving head that changes position. You can pick up Astra 19°E, Hotbird 13°E and AB3 at 5°W all at once. At the time a Visionic Trisat dish was used, but it is no longer sold apparently. You will need a special plate made out of sheet aluminum or steel to fix the LNB's required for the satellites you wish to capture. If you wish to make this plate, the details are here, for different dish diameters you will need to adjust the LNB positions accordingly. To pick up Astra 28.2°E the 100cm dish was kept as here in the south of France, the signal is not all that strong!
Each LNB is connected to its own receiver. For two or three satellites, this method can be interesting because these boxes are quite cheap (new or second hand). Nevertheless, we will need a scart switch on the video input to the television.
3. The third solution, which I now use, is to switch the input UHF signals to the receiver. The switching between the different LNB's is done by Diseqc1 boxes, which provide one output from four inputs. If a satellite is used twice, for example to feed the HD card on the computer and a second demodulator, the LNB will need a double output. The operation is programmed automatically on the receivers or computer cards. It is actually quite simple. You will need two switching boxes, one for each receiver or computer card.
For the 9°E position (if you need this) you will have to abandon the 13° position, as 9° and 13° are too close to have both. You will have to chose which one you want. You will need to programme your demodulator on the required frequency and symbol rate (for M6 swiss and then position the LNB until the reception is made. Note that the M6 HD channel is available here for free!
In my case, one of the diseqc1 boxes feeds a Visionic Slim 3 FTA digital demodulator and the other one feeds the Skystar HD card in my HP computer using Windows Seven and DVBViewer. The results now are very good (fluid with no crashes, keeping my fingers crossed!).

- Some of the French national TV programmes are available for free on Atlantic Bird 3(AB3). France 2, 3, 5, Arte, as well as LCP (the French parliamentary channel), TMC, TV8 Mont Blanc et KTO, the French Catholic tv channel. You may need to programme your receiver manually. The frequencies of the TP's and SR's can be found here. For the totality of the French TNT programmes you will need a TNTSAT decoder on Astra 19°E (or a FRANSAT decoder on Atlantic Bird 5°W) and the appropriate VIACCESS card (around 150 euros, but a one off payment in theory)!
- There are a good number of free French and English channels on Astra 19° et Hotbird 13° including some of the missing TNT programmes. There are also several 24 hour News channels in English or French
- The English Freeview channels are on Astra 28.2°, the further south you are, the bigger the dish that will be needed. There are also some free HD channels on this satellite. BBC HD, ITV HD and LUXE HD. You will need a special MPEG4 receiver to decode them. Computer cards are also available. The information to receive these programmes on your PC is HERE. - M6 is available in it's Swiss
version (only the publicity is different) on Eurobird 9A at 9° E and not Eutelsat W3A at 7°E as before.

- The optimization of the signals for the different satellite positions meant that you never get a maximum signal for each one. This handicaps Astra 28.2° and AB3 where the signal strengths are not enormous, at least where I am near Grenoble.
Because of the two-wire combined power supply and control system, the aerial frequently lost itself and a re initialization was needed each time.
