Well what's new around my region, in France and in the world? That is an ambitious project so let's give it a spin and see what happens.
First of all at home, spring has been a bit of a mixed bag, as it always is ,I suppose. But we've had hot days, cold days, wet days, dry days, windy days and still days: you name it we've had it. But on the whole the garden is doing quite well I think, but you can judge that for yourself when I put on the May gallery later on in the week -I hope!

The garden is six years old now and some of the conifers have started to 'take off' and have become a bit scraggy, especially after the snow had flattened them this winter. So I've decided to cut of the tops and ends of the branches and try to cut them in to ball-shapes, cones or ovals: we shall see! Topiary I think it's called. Today the best show is surely the dark-pink flowered Robinia.

At Grenoble the line C of the tramway has been opened and this weekend we were able to have a free ride. Unfortunately, because of the large numbers of people involved, the ride was a nightmare! I don't think the motorcar will be replaced by the tram, the bicycle would be more appropriate! But the aesthetic is very pleasing and the boulevards concerned have had a good face-lift. Who knows what the future of the town centre is? Vast subject!

One or two female singers have caught my eye(my ears rather). Try these names: Nerina PALLOT, Emilie SIMONAnja GARBAREK and Olivia RUIZ. Nolwenn LEROY and Kate RYAN are still there too.

A big event in the gardening world is the Chelsea Flower Show and if you have Astra 2D, you will have a whale of a time with BBC2. However, if not all is not lost because the BBC website has plenty, including daily videos. So give it a whirl! You won't regret it!
Other news Clearstream, immigration bill, candidates for the next French presidential elections you're on the wrong site I'm afraid. Check out this one instead!

On verra bien!
