Fin de la canicule?
Aujourd'hui, il a plu et la température a baissé. Tant
mieux! Ces dernières semaines ont été si dures
pour le
jardin que nous avons été obligés d'utiliser le
tuyau d'arrosage le soir pour préserver les nouvelles
plantations. Je
sais que beaucoup de zones en France et en Angleterre n'avaient pas
cette possibilité et sans doute on doit repenser les types de
plantes qui composent nos massifs et la façon par laquelle on
peut apporter ou garder de l'humidité dans le sol. Je pense
notamment à la récupération et au stockage des eaux de pluies,
et les apports
massifs de matière organique dans la terre.
Beaucoup ont parlé d'un changement climatique et il semblerait se confirmer ses dernières années, mais les effets négatifs et positifs ne sont pas égaux pour tout le monde. Par exemple ici , dans l'Isère, les étés sont brûlants, mais les hivers sont froids et enneigés ce qui pose une vrai casse tête pour le jardin. Certaines régions au sud de l'Angleterre sont devenues presque sous tropicales, et en France, dans l'ouest, on doit trouver des zones similaires. Il
y a peut être du nouveau pour
ceux d'entre nous vivants dans des zones d'ombres de la TNT( 20% de la
population quand même). Mais, et c'est un grand mais, il faut
attendre que le déploiement de la TNT sur les émetteurs
terrestres soit terminé. C'est à dire 2011? Donc il faut
peut être attendre 5 ans pour recevoir les chaînes 'gratuites' sur le
satellite Atlantic Bird 3. Curieux parce que ces chaînes sont
déjà disponibles,
mais codé en DVB et donc illisibles
par les démodulateurs grand public!
Sur Hotbird 13°E, elles sont également disponibles mais
payantes, bien sûr, avec le
bouquet TPS, ou sur Astra 19,2°E avec le bouquet Canalat. Elles sont
mêmes
disponibles sur l'ADSL. Pour quelqu'un de
simple, une solution pourrait être
trouvée tout de suite! End of the heat wave?
Today, it rained and the temperature dropped. So much the
better! These
last weeks were so hard for the garden, that we had to use the
hose pipe in the evenings to preserve new plantations. I know that many
places in France and England did not have this possibility and,
undoubtedly, we will have to reconsider which plants we use in our
flower beds and the way in which we can bring or keep moisture in the
ground. I am thinking in particular of recuperation and storage of
rainwater and the large amounts of organic matter we could bring to the
soil. Much is said about climatic change and it seems confirmed in
recent years. The negative and positive effects are not equal for
everyone, however. For example here, in Isere, the summers are hot and
dry, but the winters are cold and snowy. This poses a real problem for
the garden.Certain areas of England have become almost sub-tropical. In the west of France it must be the same thing! These topics can be talked about in the months to come. Perhaps there is something new for those of us who live in the shadow zones of the TNT(20% of the population by the way). But, and it is a big but, we will have to wait until the conversion of the land transmitters has finished.(2011?) Thus a delay of 5 years will be necessary to receive the free digital programmes on the Atlantic Bird 3 satellite. Strange because these programmes are already available on the same AB3, but unreadable by the material available to the general public! On Hotbird 13°E, they are also available with the bouquet TPS, or Astra 19,2°E with the bouquet Canalat. They are also available on the ADSL. These solutions however would need to be paid for. A simple solution could be found immediately! But why be simple......?
